Monster book P064. Parametric design: set the size and material thickness, then download a cutting file made for you (laser machine, co2 or diode).
A book-shaped box with a curved slatted spine. The inner box slides out of the book on guide pins, and its lid opens like a mouth on two pin hinges at the fore edge. When the book is closed, the upper teeth slide under the lower lip and hold it shut. To open the book, slide the inner box out first, then lift the lid.
Three covers to choose from:
- Zombie – face with eyes, scars and teeth, cut-outs and engraving, “Read at your own risk” title on the spine.
- Monster – big eyes and bark texture, “Monster Book” title on the spine.
- Plain – the same book without cover art.
With the Zombie and Monster covers, the ends and the fore edge are engraved with book page lines.
Adjustable parameters:
- Length: 90–300 mm (default 100 mm)
- Width: 110–330 mm (default 148.5 mm)
- Height: 35–120 mm (default 35 mm)
- Plywood thickness: 3–6.35 mm (3, 3.175, 3.6, 3.8, 4, 4.5, 5, 5.5, 6, 6.35 mm or your measured value)
- Magnet holes in the spine wall: diameter 2.8 mm by default, adjustable
The eyes and teeth keep their proportions when the size changes, and the background texture stretches to fit. All slots match the chosen plywood thickness exactly. The download ZIP contains SVG files with 0 and 0.15 mm kerf compensation, plus a readme. Default size uses 44 parts.
